Demanding immediate gagging of hate speeches blaring out from the loudspeakers of a hardline mosque in Islamabad, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain once again gave a ‘wake-up call‘ to the government.
Hussain also called for of the arrest of Lal Masjid leader Abdul Aziz for mongering hate, that too using the mosque.
It is not the first time Hussain has called for the arrest of Abdul Aziz.
Earlier, Aziz, called an army offensive against the Taliban “un-Islamic” and said the militants’ massacre of 133 children was in retaliation for air strikes against them.
The MQM leader likened Lal Masjid to Masjid al-Dirar (Mosque of Dissent), which was built by the Munafiqs (hypocrites) in Madina Munawara with ulterior motives. After a revelation about the hypocrisy and ill design of the builders of the mosque, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) ordered his followers to burn it down.
