Imran Khan, chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), said the “gang of corrupts” are getting clean chits under the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) II.
Khan stated Gen. (ret.) Bajwa cruelly gave NRO-II to corrupt elements, and Shehbaz Sharif’s son Salman Shehbaz returned from self-imposed exile in London. Khan remarked via video link.
PTI lashed out at the former army chief, saying a conspiracy and thieves ousted his administration was brought in.
Khan remarked, “Salman Shehbaz, an absconder in the Maqsood Chaprasi case, has returned and lectured us, while Nawaz Sharif plans to return (homeland).”
Former PM Sharif said Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur’s cases were dismissed.
“Justice regulates human civilization, whereas power rules animal society,” he said. Justice brings prosperity, said the former PM.
The former prime minister regretted his helplessness a day earlier. General (retired) Bajwa told him to focus on the economy and not accountability when he was in office.
“Gen (ret) Bajwa told me to grant NRO II to the opposition while passing FATF laws. So Bajwa gave the opposition NRO II.”
The ex-PM also accused the former COAS of disloyalty and said he didn’t know how he was lied to. He also confessed that extending Bajwa’s term was a “mistake.”
