Karachi police reported a man in Shamsi Society slaughtered his wife and three daughters and attempted suicide. The suspect was taken to taken hospital in critical condition.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police Sajid Sadozai, the deceased and injured belonged to the same family.
The police stated that they discovered the four bloodied of a 38-year-old woman and three girls aged 16, 12, and 10. All the victims were killed with a sharp knife.
The only injured were in critical condition has been identified as Fawad, who is also the husband of the woman and father of the dead girls.
Police believe that Fawad, a sales manager in a company, first killed his wife and three daughters and committed suicide.
Police added that when they reached the location, the house was sealed from the inside, and when they broke into the house, they found four bodies. In addition, the police retrieved a knife from the crime scene.
The Crime Scene Unit has arrived at the crime scene to gather evidence. The detectives are also collecting statements from nearby neighbors and other citizens.
