Maj. Gen. Bilal Akbar, Director General, Pakistan Rangers Sindh has suggested a joint CPLC and Rangers Special Task Centre (RSTC) under which the two  agencies, keeping their identity intact, may work together closely to curb crime and help the denizens of  Karachi live and work in a peaceful environment.

During his visit, along with Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP Karachi), Mushtaq Mehar to Citizens Police Liaison Committee’s (CPLC), Central Reporting Cell, Sindh Governor’s Secretariat, he appreciated the efforts and contribution of the Committee towards society.

CPLC’s successful liaison with law enforcement agencies (LEAs) was particularly appreciated by the DG Rangers Sindh and AIGP Karachi, said CPLC sources earlier today.

Maj. Gen. Bilal Akber also appreciated the map developed by CPLC to trace crime patterns and reiterated need for concerted efforts to identify crime hot-spots followed by joint patrolling by Police and Rangers in identified localities.

Sindh Rangers chief said CPLC enjoys a good reputation amongst the citizens and LEAs and that people trust the committee for its efforts in assisting victims of crimes during last two and half decades.
