An Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) was shot dead in Karachi early today.
Unidentified men on motorcycles shot the ASI, who was identified as Muhammad Asif, in Nazimabad No. 2 area of the city. It is not known if the ASI was the target of the attack as yet.
Asif was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries before reaching there. The ASI was shot in the head.
Police have started investigating the incident.
