Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah yesterday said that his age was not a hurdle for governance, adding he handles the work of 10 people alone. “There is no retirement age in politics,” he maintained.
He also attempted to dispel the impression of an ‘MQM-centric’ targeted operation in Karachi.
Speaking on a popular Pakistani news channel SAMAA TV’s program ‘Awaz’ today, Shah said that he was unaware of the Nine Zero raid, but he was quick to add that there was no truth in perception that MQM was being targeted. “Rangers were conducted on offices of other political parties also,” he said.
Responding to another question, Zulfiqar Mirza was facing isolation. “Mirza did not raise any objections when he was part of the government,” he remarked.
