The 25th edition of the Latin Grammy Awards will be hosted in Miami, Florida at the Kaseya Center, commencing at 20:00 ET on Thursday, November 14.
The Latin Grammy Awards event, marking a return to the United States following last year’s ceremony in Seville, Spain, celebrates the pinnacle of Latin music with new categories and an extended roster of celebrity appearances.
For the second consecutive year, Edgar Barrera, a renowned producer and composer, leads with nine nominations across various categories. The evening promises an impressive lineup, featuring performances from icons such as Pepe Aguilar, Chiquis, and Carlos Vives, who recently received the 2024 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year Award.
This year introduces two new award categories: Best Latin Electronic Music Performance and Best Contemporary Mexican Music Album, reflecting the evolving landscape of Latin music.
The Latin Grammy Awards, distinct yet affiliated with the Grammy Awards, focus on Spanish-language music globally, unlike the Grammy Awards which primarily target the U.S. market. Both award events share a similar structure and voting process, accommodating international elements unique to the Latin Grammys. The design of the awards also differs slightly, with the Latin Grammy featuring a wine-colored base compared to the black base of the Grammy.
This year’s event not only highlights musical excellence but also celebrates the cultural richness of Latin music, engaging a global audience in a shared musical heritage.
