Shahdadkot: At least five people, including two children, lost their lives in a tragic car-motorcycle collision near Shahdadkot in Sindh.
The heartbreaking incident highlights Pakistan’s ongoing struggle with fatal traffic accidents, which are often caused by poor road conditions, poorly maintained vehicles, and reckless driving.
Pakistan has long faced a grim record of deadly road accidents. One of the worst incidents occurred on November 11, 2014, when a passenger bus collided head-on with a goods truck near Khairpur. The crash claimed the lives of at least 59 people and injured 18 others. Among the deceased were 17 women and 18 children.
Such frequent tragedies underscore the urgent need for better road safety, stricter vehicle maintenance standards, and improved driver awareness across the country to prevent future loss of life.
