15 Indian nationals among the 96 militants killed when the US military dropped its most powerful non-nuclear bomb on in eastern Afghanistan.
According to Kabul-based Pajhwok Afghan News agency quoted an unnamed security official as saying that “15 Indian were also among those killed in eastern Afghanistan”.
The security official said out of 15 Indian, at least two have been identified by the official only as Mohammad and Allah Gupta.
The largest non-nuclear bomb dropped in Nangahar province of Afghanistan by the USA killed as many as 90 Islamic State fighters, according to certain reports.
At least two dozen Indians, were believed to be in eastern Afghanistan, the area that was targeted by the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb (MOAB), nicknamed the “mother of all bombs”, on April 13
Among the dead are also 15 Indian nationals, according to sources. The Indian nationals killed in the attack were involved in anti-Pakistan activities, as per sources.
The presence of the Indian nationals in Afghanistan have raised questions as to their motive for being in the country. Some sources also claimed that the Indian nationals killed in the explosion were affiliated with intelligence agency RAW
