Zahid Ahmed is set to star as the lead in a new drama-comedy series called 101 Talaqain, where he plays a divorce lawyer who navigates numerous deteriorating relationships and identifies the root causes of their issues.
The trailer for the show was released on Sunday, featuring a blend of dark comedy and satire, as Ahmed’s character, Rustom Kavasji, skillfully exposes the flaws in marriages.
The trailer highlights the ups and downs of various relationships, with couples pointing out their breaking points, such as “becoming unbearable” or “all women become the same after marriage.” In addition, Ahmed’s character remarks that marriage can become toxic over time and that doubt can weaken even the strongest relationships.
101 Talaqain is set to premiere on Green Entertainment, which will begin its test transmission in April. Produced by Auj Productions and Multiverse Entertainment, the series is written and directed by Omer Ikram and stars Navin Waqar, Anoushay Abbasi, Usama Khan, Zubab Rana, Faris Khalid, Yasir Nawaz, and Sana Askari. Green Entertainment is an open Pakistani channel launching on Eidul Fitr, producing original content.
