The United States expressed confidence over the safety of Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal.
Replying to a question raised in the backdrop of the Iraq situation where a terrorist insurgency is unraveling the nation state, the US State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki said that her country had been confident of the security of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons.
She also asserted, “We have a range of dialogues with Pakistan. We work closely with them on counterterrorism issues and a range of issues. I’m not aware of any new concern in this case.”
