The super hit ‘Jori’ of Fawad Khan and Sonam Kapoor will once again pair up in Shashanka Ghosh’s film Battle for Bittora.
Based on Anuja Chauhan’s book of the same name, Fawad will be playing a role similar to that of Khoobsurat’s Prince Vikram, reported the Times of India.
According to a source, “The film was initially offered to Abhinay Deo, but it didn’t work out with him. It’s now fallen in Shashanka’s lap and he is currently working on the script. He’s writing it with Sonam and Fawad in mind. The team has also spoken to a studio and they intend to put the film on into production early next year.”
The source further added that Fawad will be portraying the role of Zain Altaf Khan, who hails from a North Indian royalty with aspirations to pursue a political career.
Giving an insight into the film the director, Shashanka said, “We’re currently working on the screenplay and should start the film next year.”
