The military fighter jets killed at least 33 militants in Tehsil Datta Khel of North Waziristan on Friday morning.
Sources told that key militants’ commander Saifullah was also wounded in the attack. The air strikes were launched in Bannu after intelligence of militants’ presence at a camp near Datta Khel. Several hideouts of terrorists were destroyed in the air strikes.
Militants have taken sanctuary in Khyber after fleeing strongholds in North Waziristan, and troops began a military operation in Khyber in October.
The army says it has killed more than 1,100 militants and lost around 100 soldiers since the start of the June operation.
