At least 13 people including a woman dead due to fire inside a commercial plaza in New Anarkali Bazar, Lahore.
According to DCO, fire erupted due to a short circuit in a UPS battery inside a shop, which engulfed the entire building within no time.
According to MS Meo Hospital, 13 dead bodies were brought to hospital. Nine dead bodies are kept in emergency department while four are in morgue.
Fire brigades managed to put out the fire after one and a half hour efforts, while process of cooling is currently in progress.
Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed an inquiry into the incident.
