At least two lawyers were killed and one was injured during a clash with police in the town of Daska, prompting protests by the black coats all  across Punjab.

The clash took place in Daska tehsil of Sialkot district in Punjab.

The victims included Rana Khalid Abbas, president of the Daska Bar Association (DBA).

Enraged lawyers took to the streets and set the office of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) on fire in Daska. A tractor trolley was also set on fire by demonstrators.

They blocked the road leading to Civil Hospital and changed slogans against the police.

Police fired teargas shells to disperse the advancing lawyers, turning the area into a battleground.

Punjab Bar Council (PBC) announced a strike for tomorrow and said lawyers would boycott court proceedings.

In Lahore, lawyers surrounded the vehicle of Chief Justice of Lahore High Court (LHC) and demanded that he take suo notice incident of Daska killing.
