Islamic State terrorist group today released pictures of five gunmen who carried out a deadly assault at a Dhaka restaurant on Friday night.
All the attackers in the deadly assault on a cafe in Dhaka were Bangladeshi citizens, and five of them were militants that police had tried to arrest previously.
SIS claimed responsibility for the attack through its media branch, Amaq.
The photos were posted on Amaq while the siege was ongoing, with a claim that the extremely graphic images were of foreigners killed by terrorists in the attack.

At least 20 hostages including nine Italians and seven Japanese and one Indian teen were brutally murdered by the gunmen at a popular western-style Spanish restaurant in Dhaka’s diplomatic region last night.
Bangladesh army shot and killed all five attackers after several hours of siege.
Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack and released pictures of the suspected gunmen.
According to witnesses, gunmen spared those who were able to recite verses of Holy Quran during the carnage.
