State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Deputy Governor Kazi Abdul Muktadir has said that the central bank has taken various measures to address the issues faced by small and medium enterprises (SMEs). He was addressing the launching ceremony of Bank Alfalah and International Finance Corporation (IFC)’s SME Toolkit.
Bank Alfalah President and CEO Atif Bajwa and Kaiser Naseem, Head of IFC’s MENA Bank Advisory Services, senior bank officials and entrepreneurs were also present on the occasion. He congratulated both the Bank Alfalah for introducing such a service, as in his opinion without advising clients, one cannot expect business to grow.
According to him, it is easy to give loan and take collateral, but there is a need to ensure that the loan is properly utilised.
