Top parties of Pakistan including PPP, PTI, JUI, ANP and AMP welcomed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s decision to visit India to participate in the oath ceremony of Indian Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi.
PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari said, that the decision was tough but necessary and political leadership should continue taking such decisions in national interest.
Opposition leader Khursheed Shah said that accepting Narendra Modi’s invitation to visit India is a good step and will leave positive effect on region’s situation.
AML Chief Sheikh Rasheed said that meeting of both prime minister is positive for the region.
Maulana Fazlur Rahman termed Prime Minister’s India visit ‘positive’.
PTI’s to leader Javed Hashmi said that Prime Minister’s India visit is in country’s best interest.
ANP’s senator Shahi Syed said that it was a very good decision and that someone has to take the first step towards resolution of problems and improvement in relations.
