Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Friday said that opposition party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has withdrew its demand regarding Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s resignation, thus, there should be no hurdle in holding of successful talks to end the political impasse.
Talking to media in Islamabad, the Minister said that progress has been made in the dialogue process between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Political temperature from containers should be decreased to create conducive environment, he added.
He said the government intends find solution of ongoing political crisis at earliest.
Ahsan Iqbal said that talks between the government and Imran Khan’s party will held on Saturday. Initial parameters have been finalized for result-oriented dialogue with PTI.
Ahsan Iqbal said the Prime Minister has directed the Cabinet members and PML-N leaders to remain polite to ensure better environment for dialogue. The country cannot afford negative politics in the presence of challenges like terrorism, and energy shortfall.
