Islamabad: Aijaz Chaudhary, member of the National Assembly from NA-108 who joined PTI last year, was disqualified Tuesday by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali upheld a decision of the Election Tribunal and disqualified Chaudhary on charges of human smuggling and possessing fake degree.
Chaudhary was elected member National Assembly on a ticket of ruling Pakistan Muslim League-N in 2013 general elections.
But in November last year he joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
