According to Sky Sports Liverpool winger, Raheem Sterling expressed his gratitude for boss Brendan Rodgers’s support which, he claims, encouraged and motivated him to a great extent.
Sterling is deemed a very strong contender for a place in England’s world cup squad, especially after Roy Hodgson’s assistant Ray Lewington saw his stunning performance, from directors’ box, in the Reds 4-0 victory over Tottenham.
Liverpool, who moved to the top of the Premier League with six games in hand, now have a good chance of winning their first title since 1990.
