Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said today that the people of Pakistan are hopeful of a positive outcome of the National Action Plan (NAP).
“I believe people are looking forward to seeing the results of the National Action Plan. The National Action Plan has to now deliver. Failure is not an option,” he said.
The PM while chairing the Provincial Apex Committee meeting at Governor House today, said that it is a must to unite and win the war on terror and that failure was not an option.
He went on to say that terrorism must be completely eliminated for good from the country at all costs.
“We have no other option but to win this war against terrorism. And the scourge of terrorism will have to now be eliminated for all times,” said Sharif.
Sharif said that, whether the terrorists seek refuge in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) or other pockets of the country, the “government and the state intends to simply eliminate them”.
The meeting currently underway is being attended by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, Corps Commander Karachi, Lieutenant General Naveed Mukthar, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Governer Sindh Dr.Ishrat ul Ibad, Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali shah, DG ISI Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar, as well as other ministers.
