Pakistan’s hopes of beating Australia in their upcoming limited-overs series received another major blow when Mohammad Hafeez was ruled out with injury.

According to PCB, Hafizr split the webbing between the thumb and index finger of his left hand during a practice game on Friday evening in Sharjah.
Team manager Moin Khan has also confirmed Hafeez’s unavailability.
Talking to media he said “Unfortunately Hafeez is out of the limited-overs series (ODIs and T20).”
Moin added that the U19 opener Sami Aslam and veteran spinner Zulfiqar Babar have been asked to stay back. Aslam will make his debut in the ODIs, while Babar might also feature in the 50-over format.
T -20 skipper Shahid Afridi said “Hafeez has played a key role and losing him is disappointing. But you can’t underestimate youngsters and I am very confident,”
Afridi further added “Both teams are balanced and a good game is likely to take place tomorrow”
The first of the three ODIs is to be played in Sharjah on October 7.
