Sindh High Court has rejected bail extension application of former Sindh information minister Sharjeel Inam Memon.
Memon’s counsel had requested for an extension in bail till February 26.
Memon’s counsel claimed that Memon is currently under treatment in Dubai and will return Pakistan on February 27.
As and evidence, the counsel also presented an airline ticket that he would arrive in Karachi on February 27.
The judge while rejecting bail said that Memon had sought an extension on multiple occasions and no further applications would be entertained.
The judge issued the verdict that the accused has misused the judicial system the bail extension request was rejected.
Sharjeel Memon is accused in various corruption offences worth Rs5. billion including misuse of power and illegal land allotments.
He is currently based in Dubai and London even though his name is placed on the Exit Control List.
