Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited earlier yesterday the residence of former premier Yousuf Raza Gilani in Lahore and congratulated him on the safe return of his son Ali Haider.
Shahbaz Sharif said the safe return of Ali Haider after three years had brought happiness for the Gilani family. He said Haider’s return was a very good news. He also hugged Haider.
Earlier, the family of slain governor Salmaan Taseer visited the Gilani family.
Shahbaz Taseer, who was also released from the clutches of militants after four years, hugged Haider Gilani and congratulated him and his family members. “Miracles do indeed happen,” Shahbaz Taseer remarked.
The chief minister had not visited the Taseers when Shahbaz Taseer was recovered safely a few months ago.
Haider Gilani was recovered in a joint operation by the US-Afghan forces in Afghanistan on Tuesday last.
