Lahore: A security guard who took revenge of losing his job by killing three bosses in Faisal Town on Wednesday, was shot dead by police.
According to police sources, “The shooter, who was working as a watchman at a car dealer’s salesroom in Faisal Town, was recently laid off for sleeping on the job,”
The suspect had opened fire and fatally injured Malik Shafqat, Adeel and another fellow car dealer. All three of them were rushed to Jinnah Hospital but they could not survive.
According to eyewitness accounts, The guard opened fire at the traders with the Kalashnikov he was carrying, killing two of the traders on the spot, while another succumbed to the deadly wounds during treatment at a hospital.
Previously, it was believed that a fit of uncontrollable anger over being dismissed from the job drove the suspect to the murderous assault, but police on Thursday revealed the shooter was a proclaimed offender with a bounty of Rs100,000 on his head.
“He was wanted for three counts of manslaughter. It was a premeditated murder,” the police told reporters.
Police have closed the case into the triple-murder case.
