Earlier today, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has dismissed the petitions seeking Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk heard the pleas against 14th constitutional amendment and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification.
The petitions were filed by Babar Awan, Manzoor Qadir, lawyer’s movement and Maulvi Iqbal Haider.
Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk disposed of the 17 year old petitions, terming them “ineffective”.
