The Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar after talks with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), has said that resignation by the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif and Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif is out of question.
After the eighth round of talks between Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and the government on Saturday, Ishaq Dar said that the resignation of PM Nawaz Sharif and the Punjab CM is out of question, however talks will resume tomorrow.
Sources told that the PTI suggested for the PM and the Punjab CM to go on leave, until the investigation of the case against them, is not completed. To which, the negotiating PMLN members asked the PTI delegates to grant some time for consultation with the party leadership.
It was further reported that a breakthrough between the government and PTI is likely to take place, as both the sides demonstrated some flexibility on their stances, in today’s meeting.
Moreover, PTI leader, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Ishaq Dar separately confirmed that talks will again be held tomorrow.
