The Pakistan Army has taken over full charge of the operation in Kacha area of Rajanpur along the Indus river where the dreaded Chhoto gang is holed up, said military spokesman Lt. Gen Asim Bajwa on Saturday expressing resolve to accomplish the mission by employing ‘whatever resources’ required.
In a couple of tweets, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Bajwa said police and Rangers would continue to participate in the operation.
Sources said that the group of robbers that is holding over dozen policemen hostage is armed with heavy machine guns and other modern firearms.
