Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Core Committee is contemplating to change the date of shutdown in Lahore on Monday.
The committee reviewed Imran Khan’s countrywide shutdown plan he announced at a large public gathering in Islamabad.
Khan had announced that his party would close the whole of Pakistan on Dec 16 and workers would paralyze major cities – Lahore, Faisalabad and Karachi – on Dec 4, 8, 12 as part of his ‘plan C’.
Sources said the PTI leaderships is now considering to change the date for Lahore to Dec 6, in the wake of Jamaat-ud-Dawa’s public gathering the same day.
PTI’s Consultative Committee in going to meet today evening in Bani Gala wherein the shutdown plan will be reviewed besides the matter of Chief Election Commission’s appointment and the fate of ongoing protest sit-in in Islamabad.
