In occupied Kashmir, protest is continuing against the ongoing killing spree unleashed by Indian security forces following the martyrdom of Hurriyet leader, Burhan Wani.
Thirty-two people have so far been martyred and over 400 injured due to Indian troops firing against demonstrators.
People ignoring restrictions including curfew, are continuing their protest in Srinagar and other towns of the occupied territory.
Paramilitary troops and police are patrolling in the villages and towns of the valley. Businesses are closed and cell phone service is also suspended.
Chairman All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik, in a joint statement have extended call for the strike for another two days from on Tuesday. Meanwhile, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon has expressed concern over the situation in Occupied Kashmir.
The concern was expressed by a spokesman for the Secretary General during a regular briefing in New York. (APP)
