While a court has sought federal government’s reply over his appointment as Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Najam Sethi denied forcing a resignation from Mohammad Hafeez as captain of the country’s Twenty20 squad.
“Neither did I ask Hafeez to step down no am I under any pressure regarding the selection of a new captain”, said Sethi talking to media here.
The beleaguered PCB chief is under fire since Pakistan’s humiliating ouster from the ICCs T20 World Cup 2014.
“We are running our forensics to see as to what led to the disastrous performance of Pakistan T20 cricket team. So far, poor selection and lousy coaching have emerged as the obvious culprits here”, said Mr. Sethi.
