Two policemen embraced shahadat when assailants on two motorcyclists opened fire on them during routine snap-checking in Bahadurabad, Karachi earlier today.

According to sources, Head Constable Abdul Ghaffar and PC Pervez Ahmed of New Town police station were deployed on picket-duty hailing cars and motorcyclists for random snap-checking when suspects riding fire on them severely injuring the two.

Both policemen were shifted to the hospital but succumbed to their injuries.
