Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday directed a preparatory meeting for the 4th Pakistan-China Joint Cooperation Commission (JCC) to work beyond the call of duty for early implementation of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects.
Chairing the Joint Cooperation Commission meeting scheduled to take place in Beijing on March 25, the Prime Minister stressed the need of thorough preparation by concerned ministries for discussions during the JCC meeting.
The Prime Minister was given presentation on projects mainly relating to energy and infrastructure development that are part of
China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and would come under discussion during the upcoming JCC meeting.
The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Finance, Ishaq Dar; Federal Minister for Water and Power, Khawaja Muhammad Asif; Federal Minister for Planning, Ahsan Iqbal; Federal Minister for Petroleum, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi; Special Assistant to the PM, Tariq Fatemi; and Secretaries of the Ministries of Water and Power, Petroleum, Planning and Communication along with other senior government officials.
