The General Manager Public Affairs/Spokesman of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Danyal Gilani stated earlier today that, “as many as 117 flights would resume their flight operations from Wednesday.
The spokesperson said that 73 domestic and 45 international flights would operate flights operations of the national flag carrier from Wednesday in the country.
The announcement from the spokesperson comes a day after chairman of PIA’s Joint Action Committee Sohail Baloch announced the end of the strike, which had begun from February 2.
Baloch had also urged employees to resume their duties and hoped condition of the airlines would improve in the next six months with the help of the workers.
The government had invoked the Essential Services Act in response to protest strikes by the national flag carrier’s employees.
