Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said war against terrorism was a battle for survival of Pakistan.
“We are winning this war against armed terrorists,” said the prime minister while speaking during his day-long visit to North Waziristan.
PM Sharif said Pakistan would become a peaceful country once and for all after winning this battle.
He said: “Those martyred in the war are our heroes. Pakistan Army soldiers’ sacrificed their lives for future of the nation.”
The Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif welcomed the PM on his arrival to Miranshah. PM Nawaz was briefed on operation Zarb-e-Azb and IDPs on his arrival.
