Pakistan won the bronze medal at the 1st World Taekwondo President’s Cup held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Sinan Ashfaq, Pakistan’s Taekwondo black belt, in the 65kg category defeated his opponents from Kazakhstan, however, in the semi-finals, he lost to Uzbek rival.
Speaking to local news channel ‘Geo News’, Sinan Ashfaq said that he was proud to have achieved this milestone and that the experience during the contests was a joyous one.
“The medal is the gift to Pakistan on its 70th Independence day”, Sinan declared delightfully.
After winning the bronze medal in the World Taekwondo President’s Cup, the player gave the credit of the victory to his coach Nadir Ali and brother Ammar Ashfaq. (PhotoNews / Geo News)
