Islamabad: Pakistan Foreign Office welcomed the end of Saudi-led coalition’s air strikes against Huthi rebels in Yemen.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office Spokesperson Tasneem Aslam in a statement said, that the end of air strikes in Yemen will pave way for a political solution to curb the crisis in Middle-Eastern country.
Aslam on her Twitter account tweeted “Pakistan welcomes Saudi Arabia’s announcement of ending the air campaign in Yemen. This will pave the way for political solution,” .
Saudi-led coalition on Tuesday announced an end to the four-week long campaign of air strikes in Yemen saying the threat to Saudi Arabia and its neighbours had been removed.
The end to air strikes was also welcomed by the United States and Iran.
