ISLAMABAD: Canadian High Commissioner Greg Giokas met Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday and discussed matters of mutual interest with special reference to increasing bilateral economic relations.
Canadian agri exports have grown from C$15 million to C$50 billion during a period of 10 years due to appropriate policy formulation. “We are interested to share our methodology and experience with Pakistan,” he added.
Speaking at the meeting, Dar said agriculture sector is the government’s priority and it was planning to provide microfinance to small farmers.
He said there are good opportunities for foreign investors in Pakistan, particularly in hydrocarbon exploration, and energy and infrastructure development sectors.
