Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing in Abbaspur sector and injured one person who was shifted to the nearby hospital for medicinal assistance. The Indian violations of the ceasefire come, as Indian army chief is on a visit to other side of the Line of Control in the disputed state.
Pakistan – through Ambassador Dr Maleeha Lodhi – will officially take up the question of unprovoked Indian firing on the Working Boundary and the Line of Control in the disputed state in the United Nations, as the UN military observers submitted a report to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
Pakistan also lodged a formal complaint with the UN observers against Indian aggression and serious violations at the Line of Control. The UN observers also met the affected villagers near the Working Boundary and noted down their testimonies and concerns.
Later, the UN team also visited the LoC in Azad Jammu Kashmir where the Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing during the Eid days. The Pakistan Army befittingly responded to the unprovoked Indian firing.
