National Bank Hockey team won the first Chief of Army Staff (COAS) National Hockey Cup final today (Sunday) at Rawalpindi Hockey Stadium.
Army Chief General Raheel Sharif was the chief guest at this occasion.
The final was held between the teams of National Bank and Pakistan International Airline (PIA) in which National Bank defeated the PIA team by 2-0.
Army Chief distributed prizes among the players at the end of the game.
National bank team secured gold medals and cash prize of Rs 10 lac along with the winner trophy whereas the runner-up team PIA was awarded silver medals and Rs 7 lac while the Pakistan Army team stood at third position and received bronze medals and Rs 5 lac.
Pakistan Army’s star player Muhammad Imran was declared the top scorer of the tournament whereas Imran Butt won the best goal-keeper award while player of the tournament award was bagged by Rizwan Senior.
