Lahore: National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) today submitted a forensic report, pertaining to alleged rigging in the NA-122 constituency to the election tribunal.
According to details, the final report was presented before the tribunal after verification of thumbprints on the votes casted in NA-122.
NADRA authorities had sought time from Election tribunal’s judge Kazim Malik, till May 9 for the completion of the report. The petition against rigging in NA-122 was filed by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N’s) Sardar Ayaz Sadiq gained victory from the constituency. Earlier, Election Tribunal directed NADRA to submit the forensic report of NA-122 on May 9 and adjourned the hearing for one day. Speaking to the media, a PTI lawyer confirmed that the case regarding rigging in NA-122 was ongoing in the judicial commission and that the truth would soon be revealed.
