The Supreme Court on Wednesday reprimanded National Accountability Bureau over delay in competition of inquiries into FPSC appointments case.
The three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Gulzar Ahmad heard the case regarding illegal appointments in FPSC.
Justice Gulzar Ahmed asked the chairman NAB to direct its officer to work. He asked as to why the inquiry was not completed despite passing four years.
The chairman NAB told the court that the bureau issued notice to accused Ashraf Magsi but he did not appear before the committee. He said that as many as 625 inquiries and 325 investigations were pending in the bureau.
The court directed the Chairman NAB to inform about delay in inquiries and adjourned hearing of the case for two weeks. (APP)
