Lawmakers from the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahuida Qaumi Movement (MQM) today spoke about law and order situation of Karachi and the province, blaming each other for unrest.
MQM leader Khawaja Izharul Hasan said that the Sindh government must come out of TV shows and focus on real issues.
He also condemned frequent incidents of killings and robbery, adding that the government must establish peace in the province.
Information Minister Sharjeel Memon defended the government, saying it arrests terrorists but the courts release them. He lauded role of the government in making efforts in maintaining peace.
PML-F leader Nusrat Sahar Abbasi also criticized the government, saying “Sindh receives dead bodies of political activists daily but the government has done nothing to stop these killings”.
