Former President of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has said that he lost the by-election in Multan but won the battle for democracy.
Javed Hashmi was speaking in a press conference alongside with Federal Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique at his house in Lahore.
Hashmi said that he lost the bye-polls in Multan but won the battle for democracy. He added that political careers are not decided by wins or losses in the elections.
“PTI Chairman Imran Khan lost the war of morality”, he added.
Khawaja Saad Rafique, on the occasion, said that their local chapter supported Hashmi till the end. The railways minister, commenting on the rumors of Hashmi’s appointment as Governor Punjab, said that, “it’s not appropriate to talk about the issue yet”.
