Large-scale manufacturing (LSM) posted a paltry growth of 1.95 per cent during the first four months of this fiscal year.
The growth in the industrial output witnessed a decelerated trend in the month of September and October 2014 mainly because of lower supply of energy to industries, suggested data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics issued yesterday.
In July 2014, the LSM witnessed a growth of 1.14pc which rebounded to 5.27pc in August 2014. The growth in September and October was 1.82pc.
The growth decelerates in 12 categories during July-October 2014-15 over the corresponding period last year.
