Khyber Pakhtunhkwa (KPK) Chief Minister Pervez Khattak Wednesday urged the federal government to take steps for resolving the electricity load-shedding problem.
Khattak, in a statement, claimed that his province was not getting its due share in daily power generation.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he added, received 531 megawatt electricity less than its allocated share of 1782 MW. It is a constitutional right of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to get 13.5 per cent share of total power production.”
The chief minister further claimed that reduction in daily electricity quota resulted in “prolonged loadshedding” in the
province.
He also warned the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) to take remedial measures or else the government may opt for other options against it. (APP)
