The arrested suicide bomber in Khanpur Imambargah incident, Usman Yousafzai, 18, has made various revelations to Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of the Sindh Police during interrogation.
Yousafzai told CTD team that he went to Afghanistan after getting religious education from the Rehmania Masjid and remained there for about one year, getting training on use of arms.
Yousafzai originally hails from village Bandai, Tehsil Kabal, District Swat.
Yousafzai also told investigators that he completed religious studies from Rehmania Masjid from his teacher Sher Malik about four years ago and then left for Afghanistan. After completing his training, Yousafzai returned to Pakistan through the Chaman border and reached Quetta. He stayed there for few months and then came to Khuzdar city in Balochistan. He spent two days in a hideout in Khuzdar and saw a huge quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosive material there.

On September 10, three days before the Eidul Azha, he along with Abdul Rehman (second suicide bomber), reached Shikarpur. Both received suicide jackets from a person, who dropped them at Khanpur Imambargah for a suicide attack on the Eid day. Usman Yousafzai has formally been handed over to Counter Terrorism Department of the Sindh Police for further investigation.
