After a particularly grueling summer, Karachiites now finally start to feel the winter chill after the city experienced its first showers of the season on an otherwise dull Wednesday morning.
Rain was reported from several areas of the metropolis including North Nazimabad, Defence Housing Authority, Federal B. Area, Saddar, I.I. Chundrigar, Shahrah-i-Faisal and Clifton.
Although the mercury lingered at 18 degrees Celsius despite the rain, the pleasant weather had Karachiites elated.
After the rain turned many roads slippery, several incidents of motorbikes slipping were reported.
Light showers were also expected in twin cities on Wednesday, and light rain was reported from Islamabad.
According to weather forecast, heavy rain could strike the capital tomorrow.
Meanwhile on Wednesday morning, Quetta was covered in white after it started snowing there. Karachiites too can expect the weather to turn chillier as the next destination of Quetta’s cold winds is usually Karachi.
It looks like it could be the onset of an early winter in south Pakistan.
