Karachi received heavy rain on Wednesday evening.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted light showers for the city during next 24 hours.
In a statement PMD said the intermittent spell of light rain and drizzling is continue in the city since last night.Punjab, Balochistan and norther areas have been experiencing rain and snowfall since yesterday. The minimum temperature in Karachi was recorded 16 degree centigrade.
The wet spell is likely to persist till Thursday.
PMD Forecast for Next 24 hrs:
Rain-thunderstorm (with snowfall over the hills) is expected at number of places in Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Islamabad, upper Punjab and Kashmir, scattered places in South Punjab, Lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, while at isolated places in Sindh.
Moderate to heavy snowfall is also expected in Quetta, Zhob and Kalat divisions, heavy snowfall is expected in Chitral, Shangla, Naran, Kaghan and Hazara division. Intermittent heavy snowfall is also likely over Murree and Galliyat hills.
